URI - the ultimate strike

Rating 4/5

I am so glad I watched this movie alone because watching this with an anti-BJP or anti-Congress person would have made the experience very different.

Now, I am not going to walk through the movie scene by scene and find out flaws in the direction or the acting or screenplay because this of all the movies in the world doesn't warrant it. The actors played out their role decently well. The very little drawbacks in the movie were highly compensated by the very moving and real plot. This is not a movie where the audience wait till the end to applaud for India. This is a movie where every scene puts one word and only one word in your mind while you watch it: India. Every scene merits a standing ovation because in reality, the soldiers did really put their lives at stake for our country. Your patriotism is sure to resurface from the very start of the movie and will continue to linger forever even after leaving the theatre.

The military jawans in the border unanimously say, "Paani ka Paani, paththar ka paththar aur khoon ka khoon" is what our PM has cascaded to the military. This was infact used in the movie when they decide it is time to strike back. The movie had realistic dialogues even from Pakistan's side of mockery of our Indian government. The war cry by the little girl in her father's funeral brought absolute silence in the theatre with tears in the eyes for the lives lost. If anything, the director managed to bring us closer to the patriotic souls fighting for us in the borders. Every Indian watching this movie from the nook and corner of the world is the least we can do for a story that needs to be told.

"How is the josh?"
"High Sir!"

And it will always be high.
